Richard Yeadon - Chairman

Richard Yeadon is a retired Police Constable having completed 30 years service with the Avon & Somerset Constabulary.

In 1990 Richard Yeadon joined the Branch before being elected Chairman in 2002.  In 2003 Richard Yeadon moved to the position of Vice Chairman, working alongside the then current Chairman, Col. Paul Jobbins.  In 2007 Richard was elected Branch Chairman.

Richard Yeadon is married to Marcia, and lives with his black Labrador, Tom.  In his retirement he has a keen interest in shooting and fishing, and is a part time off road Driving Instructor.

 

Jeff Shortman Jeff Shortman - Vice Chairman

Jeff Shortman served 11 years in the Royal Navy between 1967 and 1978.  After leaving the Navy Jeff joined the Avon and Somerset Police Constabulary, serving until his retirement in 2003.

Jeff joined the Branch in 2003 and in 2007 was elected to the role of Vice Chairman.

 

Roger Thomas Roger Thomas - Treasurer / Secretary

Roger Thomas served with the Royal Air Force (Service Number Y3152383) from 1957 until 1969.  He then completed 25 years service with the Avon & Somerset Constabulary.

He joined the Branch in 1983 and has since held various posts within the Branch.  He is currently Branch Treasurer.  Roger Thomas is also very active within the British Legions Gloucestershire County.  He is a County Committee Member and a County Vice President.  He is also Secretary of the Committee responsible for ANZAC Day services at Leighterton, Glos.

Roger Thomas is married with Children, and lives within the Branch Boundaries.

 

David Barraclough David Barraclough - Standard Bearer

David Barraclough served with the H.M. Royal Marines between Sep 1975 and Feb 1986.  During this time he saw active service in Northern Ireland and in the Falklands Conflict.  He served in 41 and 45 Commando R.M.

He is a member of S.A.M.A. 82 and F.V.F and in 1976 was proud to have taken part in the Royal Tournament.

David Barraclough transferred to the Badminton Branch in 2006.  he lives in the Yate area and is a serving Police Constable.
