Remembrance Parade 2007

The Badminton Branch once again met to partake in the 2007 Remembrance Day parade and service at Badminton Church.  Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather conditions, this years parade had to be curtailed, with members meeting outside the church, instead of parading through the High Street as is the tradition.

We would like to thank the vicar for once again delivering a moving and respectful service.  Special thanks should also go to our Bugler, Jade.  For the last few years we have had to suffice with a recording of the Last Post and Revallie, so it was with great pleasure that we welcomed Jade to perform at our service.

We would also like to thank His Grace, The Duke of Beaufort, for allowing the service to take place at Badminton Church.

This year, for the first time, the Branch held a social gathering after the service, with guests enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits.  The gathering was well attended and a good time was had by all.  We look forward to continuing this event in the coming years and hope to see everyone for a drink in 2008.
